Material senses and reacts

Any material has agency and the potential to sense, react and transform in shape, function or appearance, as it is in a constant exchange of information, interacting with its environment.

How does Paper react to its environment and human interaction?

A series of material-paper interfaces show that paper reacts to natural stimuli and human behaviour, it responds, visually and through changing shape.

Human action and behaviour can range from active and conscious (e.g. folding or cutting) to inactive and unconscious behaviour (e.g. sleeping or sitting).
