Design IV: Shape Change
Material has logic
Materials feature shape change potentials when they are exposed to external stimuli such as humidity. Through manipulating the shape the transformation potential can be increased.
Cuts in geometric shapes are made into sheets of A4 paper. When water is applied to the paper the paper transforms dynamically from flat to form resulting into various 3D patterns.
Could this serve a future plotter – cutting and applying humidity to create 3D shaped paper prints?
